Waterborne Colored Pavement Series

HS47 Waterborne Clear Coat for Resin-Bound Exposed Aggregate Coating

HS47 is a single-component, waterborne inorganic polymer clear coat specifically developed for the HS46 resin-bound exposed aggregate system. It is easy to apply and effectively improves the surface durability, stain resistance, and finish quality of the aggregate layer.

Once dried, the varnish forms a transparent film that does not alter the original color presentation of the base material.

Application Areas

  1. Specifically recommended for use with the HS46 resin-bound aggregate system
  2. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor protective finishing of exposed aggregate walls and flooring

Key Features

  1. Inorganic waterborne system: Eco-friendly, low odor, and safe to use
  2. High durability: Excellent weather resistance, water resistance, and impact resistance
  3. Fills joints and enhances gloss: Helps level surface texture and improve stain resistance and ease of cleaning
  4. Transparent film: Milky white when applied, dries clear without altering color
  5. Convenient application: Single-component, ready to use without dilution

Instructions for Use

Application Method

  1. This is a single-component product; ready to use directly without dilution.
  2. It is recommended to apply using a trowel to help fill gaps between aggregates and enhance surface smoothness.
  3. For areas requiring higher surface evenness, two coats are recommended, with a 4–8 hour interval between coats.

Precautions

  1. Avoid contact with gasoline, thinners, solvents, or other oil-based substances during application.
  2. Do not expose the coating to rain or high humidity within 24 hours after application.
  3. Recommended construction temperature: ≥5°C; not suitable for extremely cold environments.

Waterborne  Clear Coat

Main Functions

As the top protective layer of a coating system, waterborne  clear coat significantly extends the service life of the overall finish. It enhances the coating’s resistance to chemicals and mechanical stress, and also improves surface gloss. Gloss levels can be customized as needed to enhance visual appeal.

Additional benefits include improved stain resistance, enhanced waterproofing, prevention of topcoat chalking and fading, and improved color retention.
