I.System Selection & Compatibility
Q1: How do I choose the right anti-slip system?
Select according to the application scenario:
- FM11 Micro Anti-Slip System: for walkways and campuses — lightweight, easy to apply.
- EM43 EAU System: for plazas and residential roads — natural texture and high wear resistance.
- EM45 Polymer System: for ramps and parking zones — strong friction and heavy-load capacity.
- HL35 Ceramic Granule System: for tunnels and highway exits — ultra-high slip resistance (BPN > 70).
All systems should be used together with ST series primers and QT clear coats for maximum adhesion and durability.
Q2: Are the products waterborne?
Yes. All systems are 100% waterborne and solvent-free, non-flammable, and suitable for public or enclosed spaces.
Q3: How long after new concrete is poured can I apply the coating?
Typically 3–5 days in summer, or 7 days in winter, ensuring the substrate’s moisture content is below 8%.
Q4: Will color shades vary between batches?
Slight color variation may occur; we recommend ordering sufficient material for one project. Standard and customized colors are available.
II. Construction & Compatibility
Q5: What equipment is recommended for application?
Use airless spray machines, textured-coating sprayers, or rollers to ensure uniform film thickness and even particle distribution.
Q6: Can the coating be applied on rainy or humid days?
Not recommended. Excess humidity (>85%) or rain can cause whitening, bubbling, or poor adhesion.
Q7: What kind of water should be used during mixing or cleaning?
Always use clean tap water. Avoid well or hard water to prevent salt crystallization or clumping.
Q8: What happens if I forget to add the curing agent?
The coating may remain soft or sticky with poor adhesion. It should be remixed correctly and re-applied.
Q9: What causes whitening or bubbles after application?
Usually due to moisture in the substrate or excessive film thickness. Ensure good ventilation and apply in thin layers.
Q10: How soon can the surface be used after application?
At normal temperature, it can be walked on after 4–6 hours and opened to traffic after 12 hours. Longer curing is needed in low temperatures.
III. Performance
Q11: How is the slip-resistance level determined?
Based on the British Pendulum Number (BPN):
45–60: Light anti-slip (walkways)
60–70: Medium anti-slip (ramps)
70: High anti-slip (parking areas / tunnels)
Q12: Will the coating fade or yellow over time?
No. It uses UV-resistant and non-yellowing raw materials, suitable for long-term outdoor exposure.
Q13: Can the surface maintain slip resistance over time?
Yes. The embedded anti-slip granules maintain consistent BPN values and roughness, even after years of cleaning or traffic wear.
Q14: Can the product withstand freezing and high temperatures?
Yes. It tolerates -10°C storage and up to 60°C in service, maintaining stable performance.
IV. Maintenance & Renewal
Q15: How often should maintenance or recoating be done?
Every 3–5 years under normal use, or 2–3 years in heavy traffic zones. QT clear coat can be used for quick refurbishment.
Q16: Is the anti-slip surface difficult to clean?
No. The open-microstructure surface allows easy cleaning with neutral detergents or high-pressure water.
V. Storage & Transportation
Q17: How should the products be stored and transported in winter?
Store in a cool, ventilated place (5–35°C), avoiding freezing or direct sunlight. Use insulated packaging during winter transport.
VI. After-Sales & Warranty
Q18: Is there a product warranty?
Yes. A 12-month quality warranty from delivery date. Any performance issue caused by material defects will be replaced free of charge.
Q19: What cases are not covered under warranty?
Warranty excludes issues from weak substrates, incorrect mixing ratios, mixing with other brands, or improper construction conditions.
Q20: Is technical support available after purchase?
Yes. We provide remote video assistance and construction training. On-site technical guidance can be arranged for large-scale projects.
VII. Commercial & Export Support
Q21: Can the products be exported? Are there shipping restrictions?
Yes. All coatings are waterborne non-hazardous materials, compliant with sea and air freight regulations, already exported to Australia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Q22: Can Huacheng provide bidding or technical documents?
Yes. We supply technical data sheets, system design proposals, and construction process documents upon request.
