Application Process
- Suitable for dry lamination; the laminating machine must have a drying tunnel and heated rollers.
- Recommended operating parameters:
– Drying tunnel temperature: 70–95°C
– Laminating roller temperature: 55–80°C
– Laminating pressure: 12–20 kg/cm² - It is recommended to dry the adhesive to 70%–90% before lamination. Under these conditions:
– The finished product will have higher gloss and allow faster machine speed
– If bubbling occurs, slightly reduce the roller temperature or increase the drying tunnel temperature for adjustment
Precautions
– For gold/silver printed materials or color-sensitive inks and metallic paper, the adhesive must be completely dried before lamination to prevent discoloration or bonding failure.
– When using a fully dried adhesive process, increase the laminating roller temperature (without overheating the film) and increase the pressure to achieve stronger adhesion.
– In general, bonding strength and gloss are positively correlated with the adhesive amount and roller temperature: the more adhesive applied and the higher the roller temperature, the better the adhesion and gloss.
– Laminated products typically reach their maximum bonding strength after 24 hours, so plan subsequent processing accordingly.
