Product Overview
Passive Radiative Cooling Film is a peel-and-stick functional film designed to reduce solar heat gain through high solar reflection and efficient thermal emission through the 8-13 μm atmospheric window. It provides electricity-free passive thermal management for roofs, building envelopes and outdoor equipment while supporting waterproofing and surface protection in suitable applications.
The multilayer film combines a weather-resistant hydrophobic surface, functional cooling layer, mechanically stable base film and pressure-sensitive adhesive for fast installation without curing time.
Key Features
- Verified passive cooling performance: Third-party testing reports solar reflectance of 0.92, atmospheric-window emissivity of 0.90 and radiative cooling power of 95 W/m².
- Peel-and-stick installation: The self-adhesive roll can be applied directly to properly prepared metal, roofing and equipment surfaces.
- Weather and corrosion resistance: Tested for 1500 h xenon-lamp aging, 1500 h neutral salt spray and 1500 h damp-heat exposure.
- Hydrophobic surface: A tested water contact angle of 120° helps reduce water and dirt adhesion.
- Mechanical integrity: Tested peel strength reached 1.8 N/mm, with transverse and longitudinal tensile strength of 25 MPa and 42 MPa.
- Cooling plus roof protection: Suitable systems can combine thermal-management and waterproofing value.
Typical Applications
- Industrial plants, warehouses and logistics centers
- Grain-storage buildings and agricultural facilities
- Metal roofs, sandwich panels and building walls
- Telecom stations and outdoor electrical equipment
- Petrochemical tanks, silos and equipment enclosures
- Containers, utility shelters and other sun-exposed surfaces

Installation Guidelines
- Inspect the substrate and repair leaks, loose fasteners, severe corrosion or unstable coatings before installation.
- Remove dust, oil, dirt, loose rust and sharp projections. Ensure the surface is clean and completely dry.
- Measure, position and pre-lay the film according to the roof or equipment geometry.
- Peel back the release liner gradually while pressing the film onto the substrate.
- Use a roller to apply even pressure and remove trapped air or voids.
- Use a typical overlap of 3-5 cm and seal edges or special details where project conditions require it.
- Inspect all seams, edges and penetrations after installation.
Installation details should be confirmed for the substrate, climate, roof geometry and service conditions. A small pilot area is recommended before large-scale application.
Reference Performance
Supplied simulation and brochure materials show strong potential reductions in roof-surface temperature, indoor temperature and cooling load. These values are reference results rather than guaranteed field performance; actual results depend on climate, substrate, ventilation, installation quality and operating conditions.
